Margaret River Region Open Studios unlocks art from over 150 artists, across myriad art forms, so it’s free to be explored by art lovers everywhere. This free event is a rare opportunity to explore private art studios; to meet painters, potters and printmakers, milliners and mosaicists, timber craftspeople, textile creators, illustrators and installation artists. This award-winning event is now in its 12th year and has become a highlight on WA’s arts calendar. Well-known and highly respected names include our resorts’ chosen artist collaborators, Christian Fletcher and Myles Happ.
Gather some girlfriends, take the backroads to discover where our local artists live and work or let our reservations team help you. Christian Fletcher
As Western Australia’s most successful landscape photographers, Christian’s gallery is filled with awe-inspiring photographs, along with the added bonus of the amazing collaborative exhibition showcasing 24 other artists’ depiction of his iconic photos, interpret in their own style. Studio location: Dunsborough.

Myles Happ
Myles is a master potter of over 35 years. Expect to see a range of new works inspired by a recent trip overseas. Myles creates our beautiful bespoke resort coffee / water cups and water dispenser. Studio location: Dunsborough.

Sarana Haeata
Sarana Haeata is an Australian painter whose work explores shared stories, collective identity, and the female experience. Her art reflects themes of transition, ephemerality, and the quiet moments of belonging amidst life’s noise. Studio location: Burnside, Margaret River.

Lauren Wilhelm
An established artist, Lauren creates paintings which evoke a nostalgic and wistful air. She is inspired by everyday histories and often juxtaposes modern and classical themes. Studio location: Cowaramup.

Leon Pericles
Leon is a master printmaker, painter & sculptor. Immerse yourself in his prolific art practise, magnificent gardens, unique studio & enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa too. Studio location: Cowaramup.

Sue Briggs
With an art practice spanning over 45 years Sue’s work reflects an abstract landscape aesthetic sometimes depicting a sense of place through site memory, reflection and colour. This year paintings will be large, bolder and more abstract. Studio location: Prevelly.

Francois and Nicholas Payet
Payet jewellery is a tribute to the beauty of nature. the collection embodies nature’s natural form, organic shapes and colours, featuring stunning-coloured gems and luscious pearls. Studio location: Margaret River.
