Kate Lamont has more than three decades of experience in the wine, food and tourism industry in Western Australia.
She works in the Lamont’s family business, an integrated food and wine business incorporating grape growing, wine production and sales, which produces over 84,000 bottles per annum. Lamont’s operates restaurants in the Swan Valley, Margaret River, Perth City and Cottesloe.
As one of Western Australia’s most successful chefs, Kate has written bestselling cooking books with sales in excess of 35,000 and has contributed to various books, magazines and newspapers including The Weekend Australian and The West Australian. She is a regular guest presenter on ABC radio and was previously Deputy Chairperson of Tourism Australia and also Chairperson of Tourism Western Australia.
In 2020, Kate was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday honours for her significant service to the tourism and hospitality sectors in Western Australia.
