Margaret River Open Studios 2026

Share

More than 150 artists will once again open their studio doors across the Region for the thirteenth Margaret River Region Open Studios, held from 12–27 September 2026.

This free annual event has celebrated the region’s increasingly diverse and vibrant arts community, offering visitors the rare opportunity to step inside private studios, meet artists and see works in progress. From painters, potters and printmakers to textile artists, timber craftspeople, illustrators, photographers and installation artists, Open Studios invites art lovers to explore an extraordinary range of creative practices from Busselton to Augusta.

Now the largest event of its kind in Australia, Margaret River Region Open Studios is one of our most favourite events and waves shared some of our favourite artists below. Take the backroads, discover where local artists live and work, and enjoy a day or two exploring the region at a slower pace. Gather a group of friends, plan your own studio trail or speak with our Reservations team for assistance with your stay. Smiths Beach Resort is proud to support this much-loved regional event and would be delighted to provide a luxurious beachside base for your Open Studios escape.
